The tone that is well-established in this article is formal. This article gave a high vocabulary detail and information of what is currently happening with this new execution method. First, the press points out Oklahoma to become the first state in the nation to allow nitrogen gas as an execution for death row inmates. Next, the writer states there is a bill scheduled to have nitrogen hypoxia as an alternate execution method if the state finds the nitrogen gas wrongful. Also, the writer reports currently the US Supreme Court is reviewing the state's case of a mishandled lethal injection that happened last spring. In addition, the writer mentions the representative of Oklahoma, Mike Christian, to have said using nitrogen oxygen would be an economical and reliable method of execution. Finally, the writer concludes by indicating the cost of the execution project will be $300,000 n order to build the gas chamber.
